Birthday Celebrations

This is a card I made for a friend (and my wonderful downline) whose birthday it was on Monday. I hope you had an awesome day Robyn and celebrated with loved ones.

The stamp set I used is Embrace Life. I stamped the flowers on watercolour paper (first time doing this) and they've been coloured with pale plum ink and a blender pen. I love colouring in and find it very therapeutic. I just don't do it nearly enough...

Spinning again..

This was the second Spinner Card that we made at a class I held a few weeks ago, which I'd forgotten to post. We used the new Cottage Wall designer paper which went down a treat. Everyone loved the new yummy colours!  And, the card itself is so easy to make.

If you are wondering what all the fuss is about and don't have your own copy of the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue, email me here and I'll pop one in the post for you.

That's another weekend over with, so I hope you all enjoyed it and had a great ANZAC Day!  It's the first time for a very long time that I didn't make it to a parade - (I felt bad too, being an ex-RNZAF chickie and Army brat), so I made ANZAC cookies instead, for my ladies at my class this afternoon.  Not much of a consolation I know...

And, for those of you in Auckland - didn't we have stunning weather!!  OMG, it is still, so much like summer.

Chirpy Cheep Talk

This was the second card we made at the Pop Up Class held on Saturday. There was quite a bit of cutting out on this card and I didn't hear one complaint from the ladies who attended. Unfortunately Stampin' Up! doesn't have a punch for every stamp (although I'm sure they're working on it), so cutting out is required at times. If you are interested in attending one of my classes, please email me HERE and I'll email you my class list.

We used Cheep Talk stamp set ($NZ56.95 for 10 stamps) which coordinates beautifully with the Good Morning Sunshine designer paper.

Here's the front of the card:

Eastern Blooms Pop Up..

I held a Pop Up class over the weekend, which was a big success.  This is a Freestanding Pop Up card and you can get the instructions complete with the dimensions here on Splitcoaststampers.  It looks difficult, but as many of you know - I love easy, and this certainly ticks that box.  The colours we used were Old Olive, Regal Rose and Rose Red.

Team Swaps

As promised earlier, here are some of the swaps (when you make 20 cards of the same design and then swap with 19 other demonstrators and receive one each of their creations) I received last weekend at our Team Training. As you can see from the photo's, we have some extremely talented ladies in our team and so it's always exciting to be a recipient. I have major trouble explaining this excitement to people in my other life - but I'm sure you understand what I mean....lol.

Here's my fabulous upline
Karen's creation. She's used the new Cottage Wall designer paper with the coordinating stamp set Cottage Garden. Don't the new colours look great!

Sally has used the Perfect Polka dots embossing folder with the Big Shot and one of the new in-colours Soft Suede with the new Two Step Bird Punch. This new punch is great, as you can punch out three things in one. Very good value at $NZ35.95.  It is also the new stackable style of punch. Sally actually made swaps in all three colours, so it was a very difficult decision for me to make when I had to choose just the one.

This is Judy's lovely swap using the Autumn Traditions designer paper, Autumn Days stamp set, and the Top Note die. A gorgeous colour combo!

Spinners delight...

Spinner cards are fun for all ages and this is one of the cards we made at the Spinner class a week or so back. We used the Dreams du jour stamp set teamed with Bella Rose designer paper and my circle scissors to cut the circles out.  It was the first time that I used the circle scissors (smack my hand) and I couldn't believe how easy it was to use with such precise results.

Happy 14th Birthday Bridgette..

It was my youngest daughter's birthday on Tuesday and this is the card I made her. She loves butterflies and I love easel cards, so it didn't take me long to decide what to come up with.  It's not obvious in the photo, but the large butterfly has been double stamped with vellum and is attached with a rhinestone brad. There is also glitter on all the small butterflies, so it's very feminine and pretty.

I'm Back!!

Well, I'm back after almost a week long absence.  My computer files got corrupted and it wouldn't turn on. Fortunately, it wasn't a virus - but it still took a few days to be repaired.  Everything is all intact and back running, which I'm very pleased about.  Apparently, there isn't any rhyme or reason why this happens and there isn't anything you can do to prevent it either, but the good news is, that it probaby will never happen again...

We had our big team training last weekend which was very informative and as enjoyable as ever. We've got lots of new demo's who have joined us, so that's fabulous news!  A special mention to the three ladies who have signed up under me during Sale-a-bration ~ Robyn, Cara and Joy. A very big welcome to the team!
Anyway, training also means swaps, for those demonstrators that want to participate. The theme was to use something out of the new mini catalogue and this is what I made using the new stamp set Cottage Garden with the coordinating designer paper Cottage Wall.

Over the next few days I'll post you the photo's of some of the swaps I received in return. They are really lovely and you'll be suitably impressed!!  We've certainly got some talented ladies in our team. I am so loving the products out of this Winter/Autmn mini and if you haven't received your copy to see what I'm talking about - contact me, and I'll put one in the post for you.

I've taken a wee break and have just finished one of the children's classes I have on today. I better get moving and tidy up in preparation for the next one which is starting at 2pm.
Talk again soon :)

Let the Cute Begin..

I inked up another stamp that hadn't seen ink before, the other night. That made two in one day, which is pretty impressive for me! This stamp is from the retired set Big on Spring and I've teamed it with the recently retired Tall Tales DSP, which have great "boy" colours. This card was for a friend who has recently had a baby. George is two weeks old and very adorable. You forget just how little they are, when they begin their journey of life...

Poppin' Up!

This is one of the cards that we're going to make at the Children's class this Thursday. The group of girls coming are aged 11 years and older, so I decided  to make it a bit more challenging for them, or so I thought...  It is actually unbelieveably easy to make and the instructions are on Splitcoaststampers. I got the inspiration for using the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set from Debbie A - check out her fabulous blog HERE.  It was given the big tick of approval from both of my daughters (both teenagers), so hopefully it will be just as well received on Thursday.
