Many of you have noticed that the ink pads feature in the retired lists so let’s have a look at the colour revamp in
detail. Hopefully, it will help answer your questions.
Why are the ink pads on the retiring list?
- Stampin Up has improved the ink
pad case and the ink formula. The redesigned ink pad case is now
more simple and intuitive. Just insert your thumb in the lip and
lift.
- It has a tighter fit between
the lid and the base and the lid won’t become accidentally disconnected.
- It’s stackable. The
ability to stack the cases is easier.
- They are slightly smaller and
slightly thinner and have a very new sleek look:
- And, yes they will still fit in the
carousel.
The spice of life is variety, and that's especially true in the world of colour. Stampin' Up! makes a point to keep an eye on colour trends across different markets and industries. When they see changes happening, they review our colour spectrum to ensure that we remain consistently on top of the trends. This brings us to the Colour Revamp! With this revamp, you'll not only have new products to be iintroduced to, but you'll also have new variety of shades that will inspire creativity and allow you to explore more sides of your crafting.
The Ink: Don’t worry, the existing reinkers will
still work in your old and new pads.
What did they change? They put a de-foamer into the
ink refill.

This brings us to the 2018 Color Revamp!
Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Whisper White have been moved out of the
Neutrals Collection to a new spot. A few new colours have been moved into
the collection to make it more exciting and colourful.
Stampin Up sometimes brings back retired In colours to become part of our
core colors.
Welcome back:
These are the 10 new colours that have been incorporated into the new colour revamp:
13 Colours will be retiring: Always Artichoke,
Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo, Perfect Plum, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip,
Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky,
Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder (see below for pics and item numbers).
No Changes to the In-Colour schedule. There are always two sets and
each year one retires and is replaced by a new, two year set. I personally
LOVE these 5 new colours
Did you do the Maths? We are keeping 27 of our existing colours and we
now have 53 Colours coming in the New Catalogue in June.
