Happy Mother's Day!

Wishing all Mothers, Aunts and women who are there for kids (related or not) a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! I hope you all have a fabulous day with your loved ones. And, a special mention to those of you who have lost your mother. Thoughts are with you and I hope you have lots of wonderful memories to reflect on.

Here's the card that I made my mother for her special day. I've cased it from my upline Karen. If you pop along to Karen's blog here you can see lots of other gorgeous projects she's made.

Sweet 16th Birthday!

My youngest daughter Bridgette turned 16 years young last week. We had a lovely day together and she was stoked with her present from me - a gym membership.  The kind people at Club Physical  also gave me a months free trial, so we've been enjoying going together and having a few laughs.

Here's the card I made for Bridgette, which was inspired by Barbara Welch:

Stamp Set: Sweetheart, Occasional Greetings
Card Stock:  Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Rhinestones Basic Jewel, Four Petal Flower Punch from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch set, White Bakers Twine, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Round Tab Punch.

I hope you're enjoying the beautiful sunshine we've got in Auckland today.

Faux Leather

I've been missing in action a bit lately - no real reason, except that there isn't enough hours in the day and not a lot of time to play.

I will have lots to share with you soon though because we had a Stampin' Up! Fun Day yesterday.  We had a day spent with over 150 ladies from all around New Zealand making some cool projects and playing with goodies from the new catalogue.  We also had the option of making swaps.  As usual, I was up until the wee small hours of Saturday morning finishing mine. I only managed to make 25 in the end, but that's 24 gorgeous swaps that I received in return. Watch this space...

Anyway, back to the Faux Leather technique - I've been wanting to try this for ages and if I'd known how easy it was, I would have done so much sooner.  The male wallet looks very authentic in Chocolate Chip and with a gift card inside would make a perfect present for Father's Day.

Stamp Set: Occasional Greetings (soon to be retired)

Cardstock:  Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Bone Folder, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

The card that I made to go with the woman's purse uses the retiring stamp set Friends 24/7, which has sold out.

Well, it's another weekend nearly over with - I hope it's been a good one and I'll see you back here real soon :)

Take a Walk on the Wild Side..

Well, not quite the wild side but a nature walk... I wanted to update my display board and show off some new products from the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue so went blog hopping, and found this lovely card from Jennifer Weide which I have cased. It uses four new products including my fave Nature Walk stamp set and coordinating designer paper, a beveled windowpane and the new framed tulips embossing folder. Check out Jennifer's blog - she's certainly got it going on and has lots of inspiring projects.

Beautiful Butterflies

I made this card for a friend last month and just realised that I hadn't shown you ... So without any further ado, here is what I call my Beautiful Butterfly card. It's very quick and simple and I've cased it from Vicki Burdick.  Check out her blog here - she's got heaps of lovely projects to look at and is wonderfully talented.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week :)

Antique Aviary

This card is one of the gorgeous swaps I recieved at Stamp Camp. Moana Dawson is the creator of this stunning card and she's used some of my favourite stamps including Aviary (from the Summer mini), Bliss (Sale-A-Bration) and the sentiment is from Occasional Greetings. I love the colours Moana's used: Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. This will definitely be going in my case file. I'm just sorry that the photo doesn't do it justice, but take it from me - it is really lovely!

Elements of Style

Just a quick post from me today showcasing a birthday card I made for a girlfriend whose birthday was at the end of last month (January is a very busy birthday month for me).

Stamp Set: Elements of Style, Occasional Greetings
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black, Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Basic Black 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Blender Pen, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch.

I apologise if you were the person who I cased this lovely card from. I rely on the watermark people add to their photo but unfortunately, there wasn't one on this card.
