Oh Baby!!

Here's a baby card that I cased from Jill Franchett - an American demonstrator whose work I admire. I made this for my friend Sally's daughter Emma, who had a little boy last month.

Card Stock: Whisper White, Bashful Blue
Designer Paper: Subtles Patterns Stack
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Whisper White Organza Ribbon
Tools: Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder

I'm going away again for 10 days with work and have scheduled a few posts during my absence. So until then, stay safe and warm and I'll be back to chat soon.

Big Shot Projects

I had so much fun at my Big Shot classes, I held recently.  It was great to be able to show the ladies a few different ways of using their dies.

We made an extended Pillow Box which is the perfect size for a chocolate bar.  For the large butterfly, I finally cut into my sumptuous Mocha Morning Speciality paper.  This speciality paper pack is really lovely and this particular piece is flocked. Others in the pack have metallic ink and they're all very yummy and luxurious looking.

Here's what you need to make this project:

Stamp set: Perfect Punches
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Basic Black
Designer Paper: Mocha Morning Speciality Paper, Neutrals Paper Pack
Ink: Crumb Cake
Accessories: Pillow Box Die, Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, Lots of Tags Sizzlits Die set, Extra Large Oval Punch, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals.

We also extended the Scallop Envelope die which in the new size, will fit a gift card inside. Here's the extended version with a belly band around it using the new Twitterpated designer paper.

What you need to make the extended Scallop Envelope:

Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Ridinghood Red, Blushing Bride
Designer Paper: Twitterpated (Autumn Winter mini catalogue)
Accessories: Scallop Envelope Die, Big Shot, 5 Petal Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Designer Printed Brads, Dimensionals.

For the last project {which is my favourite}, we made a cute little mini album with the Petite Pockets die which I've blogged before.  Click HERE for another look

Happy hump day everyone!

This was a birthday card that I made for a friend who celebrated a birthday earlier in the week {waving at you Robyn}.  Robyn was lucky enough to receive a Big Shot for her birthday, which I'm sure she will get hours of enjoyment with. But wait, there's more....

As promised, here are the remaining swaps I received at our WOW PaperKRafters Team Training last Sunday.

This card is from my dear friend and sideline Judy B.  She's used Jolly Holiday designer paper with the Bird punch and the Perfect Punches set. I think this makes for a stunning combination.

And, this lovely card was from Claire Hardman. Claire is relatively new to our group but is one talented lady!  The only stamp she's used is the message from Many Merry Messages. She's cut out her own template and made the Christmas tree by sponging. And the curtains are made by using punches. Isn't it super cute!

Yummy Rich Razzleberry

When I first heard the colour Rich Razzleberry, it conjured up all kinds of images for me - mainly of ice cream.  Don't ask me why, because although I do love ice cream, you can't go past the good old New Zealand favourite of Hokey Pokey. Anyway, I love Rich Razzleberry and have been using it quite a lot since it was introduced to us, back in June. Here's a card I made using it against Whisper White which I think, makes a nice crisp combination.

Stamp Sets: Printed Petals, Perfect Punches
Cardstock: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Rich Razzleberry 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, White Jumbo Brad, 1/2" Circle Punch, Extra Large Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Perfect Polka dots embossing folder.
