Blended Bloom

I have been meaning to post this gorgeous card for ages but as you know, my blogging and card making have taken a back seat of late. I made this card at our big team training day back in June. It was a fantastic day and great to meet up with other demonstrators and to learn new tips, tricks and techniques.

The card here was coloured using the new Blendabilities Markers, these are alcohol based markers that blend together really easily. This was my first attempt at using them and I'm really pleased with my efforts.

Stamp Set: Dictionary, Petite Pairs, Blended Bloom
Ink: Black Tuxedo Memento stamp pad, Black Staz on
Card: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Basic Black
Designer Paper: Brights Colour Collections Stack
Accessories: Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Tools: Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities, Daffodil Delight Blendabilities

Have a great week everyone!

Secret Garden - Stained Glass Technique

Hi all and happy Friday!

When I first saw this stamp set, I told myself that I wasn't going to buy it - because seriously, how many flower sets does one person need?? This was, until Sally taught us this technique at team training, a while ago. I love the colours which are feminine and pretty and the technique is so simple but effective. Since I love colouring in and fussy cutting - there was no holding back. I knew that I had to have it! Oh, and there's actually a coordinating framelits die to go with the Secret Garden set, if you don't like cutting.

Here's a close up of the flowers which are heat embossed before being coloured in:

And, here's the cute coordinating box which makes a lovely gift. This little combo is what we made at my classes last week.

Stamp set: Secret Garden, Petite Pairs
Card Stock: Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Vellum
Ink: Versamark, Early Espresso Stampin' Pad, Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Markers,
Accessories: Basic Pearls, White Embossing Powder
Tools: Big Shot, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Top Note Die, Fancy Favour Bigz die, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Heat Tool

I hope you like today's card. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Baby

Did you realise that there is only three days left to SaleABrate?! It finishes a bit earlier this year because of Easter. So, long story short, if there is something from the SAB catalogue that you wanted to earn for FREE, don't wait - contact me today!

The cutie tootie card here was demonstrated by Sally Williams last weekend at our SAS (Stamp-a-Stack) team event and it uses a stamp from the Patterned Occasions Stamp Set. You get five stamps in the set which each have an image and a message. You can turn those five stamps into ten, just by cutting the message off the bottom so you can mix and match them. And, they cater to all occasions too!

Stamp Set: Patterned Occasions, Petite Pairs
Card Stock: Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Ink: Certainly Celery
Accessories: Paper Doilies,

I hope you're having a happy hump day!

Shadow Box Card

This was the lovely project that Karen and Sally demonstrated to us at the Extravaganza. The original design for this shadow box card was from Jenny Moors. My favourite part of this project was colouring in the flowers and cutting them out. There is something that I find very therapeutic about colouring and cutting...

Bringing Baby

This was a card that I made for a friend, whose daughter had her first little baby in April. I had the present all wrapped and ready but it was the card that held up the works. No excuses except that I couldn't decide what I wanted to make and then had to find the time to make it. I've cased this from Teneale Williams (a demo from Australia) whose work I really admire.

Stamp Set: Bringing Baby and Petite Pairs
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pool Party
Ink: Black Staz On, Pool Party, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, Linen Thread
Tools: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder

Have you got much planned for your weekend? I'll be doing lots of study as have a test on Monday and another on Wednesday. I'm over this study lark and I can't wait to put it behind me - well, for this part anyway. There is always ongoing training and courses but at least I'll have the first box ticked, very soon.

We also have Team training tomorrow for the Creative Inkers. These events are always fun and it's an awesome day organised by Jacque. I've paid to go to and really want to, but I'm not sure that I can afford the time. Decisions, decisions... Maybe if I get a good couple of hours study in tonight, tomorrow night and all day Sunday as well. A girl deserves a break every now and again doesn't she??  I'll let you know what I decide. In the meantime - have a GREAT weekend and keep warm!!
