Tag a Bag Accessory Kit

I decorated this little bag for Bridgette for her birthday and put some gift vouchers inside, just for something a little different. Initially I was going to decorate a Tag a Bag Gift Bag (page 158 AC), but found I didn't actually have any. However, I do have three Tag a Bag Accessory Kits... lol. Don'task me how that happened. Fortunately I found this coloured bag and although it's a bit smaller than I would have liked, it served its purpose and Bridgette loved it. Truth be known, she probably loved what was inside the bag, more than the bag itself ;-)

The Tag a Bag Accessory kit (page 158 AC) is very good value for money. For only $16.95 you receive 10 large base tags, 10 medium builder tags, 10 mini clothes pegs, 5 smoky slate self adhesive strips, 40 dimensionals and 3 colours of baker's twine (6.1m each). It coordinates with the Tag a Bag Gift Bags (only $8.50) or the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes ($14.50). Or, as shown above, you can coordinate it with whatever you have in your stash.

Stamp: Short and Sweet (retired)
Ink: Gumball Green
Accessories: Tag a Bag Accessory Kit, Non Stampin' Up! Paper Bag, Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Tools: Elegant Butterfly Punch, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch

I hope you have a wonderful and safe Easter and partake in a choccie or two. I made a wee start on my chocolate binge last night...

Cute Gift Bag and Notecard

Isn't this little gift bag and card cute?  This is another of the projects we made on Saturday. You can fill the bag with lots of different things - chocolates (that would be my first choice), home baking (a close second) or bath salts, like we did. You're really only limited by your imagination.  I love how we used the Labels Collection Framelits to cut out the front and make the window. Very cool and so easy!!

Please excuse the lopsidedness of my bag - it got a bit squashed on the ride home and doesn't  want to sit up properly.

These are what we used to make this project:
Stamp Set: Short and Sweet, Pocket Silhouettes
Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Ridinghood Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Ink: Ridinghood Red
Accessories: Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Mini Brad, Window Sheets
Tools: Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelits (Autumn Winter mini Catalogue), Boho Blossom Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Little Leaves Die, Designer Frames Embossing Folder.

I'd be happy to order any of these items for you and can have them delivered to your home anywhere in New Zealand.  To place your order, just send me an email or give me a call on (021) 260 6680

Have a happy day!

Everyday Elegance

This was the adorable gift box and card that I demonstrated at a workshop recently. I cased them from Monica Gales who is a demo in the UK. Pop over to look at her blog - she has some lovely projects and also has a video to show you how to make the gift box. The gift box is made from two Scallop Envelopes cut with your Big Shot. So easy and a cute result. The stamp set is You Are Loved from the Summer Mini catalogue.

The photo isn't that great, but the cardstock does actually coordinate with the gorgeous (and FREE with qualifying purchase) Everyday Elegance Designer paper in real life.

Stitched Stocking Set

We had a fabulous day on Saturday, at our annual WOW PaperKRafters Christmas Team event.  This was the project that I demonstrated, using the new Stitched Stocking stamp set and coordinating punch.  I cased it from the wonderfully talented Lisa Young, a demo from the USA.  It's a little bit hard to see but the box has the silver metallic belly band around it and holds the four cards and mini envelopes.  I've embossed the lid of the box using the Petals-a-Plenty textured embossing folder which I thought could pass as little poinsettia's.  It makes a simple and cute Christmas gift.

Stamp Set: Stitched Stockings, Pennant Parade, Short and Sweet, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card Stock: Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White, Silver Metallic
Ink: Old Olive, Real Red
Accessories:  Stocking Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Decorative Label Punch, 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Linen Thread, Rhinestones, Mini Square Envelopes, Big Shot, Petals-a-Plenty, Perfect Polka Dots, Stripes and Square Lattice Textured Embossing Folders.

Mere Males

We made two each of these cards, at my Masculine Stamp-a-Stack class over the weekend. Thanks ladies for making it a fun afternoon :)   The stamps we used are from the a la carte, single stamp range, available in the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue. These are phenomenal value and perfect for the men in your life. The products in the mini catalogue are only available until 31 July, so contact me today to put your order in - you won't want to miss out.

The Sail Away card with the jumbo eyelets was one I cased from Denise Ibbett. I loved it as soon as I saw it and so did the ladies on Saturday. Thanks so much for sharing Denise.

Masculine Stamp-a-Stack

This is one of the cards that we'll be making in my stamp-a-stack class next month. I have cased this from the wonderfully talented Monica Gale who is a demonstrator in the United Kingdom. Check out her amazing work here. We'll be making 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs) and they'll be suitable for the marvellous males in your life. The last stamp-a-stack class was very popular and spaces are limited, so you might want to book in early... just saying ;) More details are on the left of my blog.

This card uses one of the new a la carte' stamps in the Autumn/Winter mini cattie and it's proving very popular. It only costs $16.95 so great value for money. There are so many cool ideas out there in blog-land and if you're anything like me - the hardest part will be deciding what to do... seriously.

Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist, Ridinghood Red, Whisper White
Ink: Early Expresso, Ridinghood Red
Accessories: 1cm Twill Tape, Neutrals Brad, Distressing Tool from Cutter Kit, Star extra large punch, Lattice Embossing Folder, Big Shot.

Until next time, happy stampin' :)

Gift Card holder

I was asked by a friend to make some "gender neutral" gift card holders. The stamp set Circle Circus is such a versatile set and circles never go out of fashion, so it was perfect for what I wanted. I had made a few others in different colour combinations but forgot to take a photo. This will be ongoing, so I'll be sure to get clicking next time.

I'm not sure who designed this gift card holder, but it's a favourite of mine. When you lift the flap there are two little pockets (an envelope folded in half) which you can slip your voucher message into. Too easy!  If you want to learn how to make one, book a workshop with me HERE

Stamp Set: Circle Circus, Short and Sweet
Cardstock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Tangerine Tango striped Grosgrain (retired), Whisper White Envelope.

Autumn Days

I played with the new French Foliage stamp set from the Autumn/Winter mini over the weekend. It is a set that can be made into a masculine or feminine card, so is very versatile.  I wanted to use my water colour paper but couldn't find it - (I'd obviously put it in a safe place) so used Very Vanilla cardstock instead. I sprayed this lightly with water and then stamped the French writing and three different leaves randomly over it in Cajun Craze, More Mustard and So Saffron - real Autumn colours. The colours a bled a bit, which was the effect I was after. After I tucked the linen thread behind the collage piece and adhered the brads, I was a bit stumped and didn't quite know what I was going to do next. I'm happy with the end result though and will pop this away in my little emergency stash.

Stamp Set: French Foliage, Short and Sweet
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, More Mustard, Peach Parfait, Cajun Craze
Ink: So Saffron, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Peach Parfait
Accessories: Linen Thread, 1" Circle Punch, Old Olive Designer Button (Brights pack), Old Olive brads (Brights pack), Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots.

Thank You

This was Sally's swap from Stamp Camp (I know it was a month ago but I had to share it with you) and one of my favourites. I'll definitely be casing this one. Sally's used the Bliss stamp which is one of the FREE stamp sets you can choose during Sale-A-Bration. Remember, you've only got until 31st March to take advantage of choosing a FREE stamp set for every $120 you spend. The Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper and Stitched-Poly Ribbon sets the card off wonderfully.

I was very lucky to have been a recipient of so many beautiful swaps from our inaugural Stamp Camp. Thank you ladies :)

Sparkly Lovely as a Tree...

I feel as though the only cards I've been making lately are Christmas ones. Fortunately, they're one of my favourite kind, so I certainly don't mind. I saw something similar at Convention (back in May) on the display board, so I'm sorry that I can't link my post back to you, because I don't know who you are :(  Please make yourself known, if you're the talented person I've cased. The leaves of the tree have dazzling diamonds on them, but sadly you can't see it..

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Kraft Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Dazzling Diamonds, Two Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Sponge.

School Holiday Children's classes were a huge success!!

Thanks to all of you who attended. There were many regular faces and lots of newbies too, which was great! We had lots of fun and created some cool cards and projects as you can see here.
And, a big Thank You to my darling daughter Bridgette, for all your wonderful help and assistance. I couldn't have done it without you!!
