Stampin' Up! Ghostly Ghouls

We don't go all out in a big way and celebrate Halloween in New Zealand however, it is becoming more popular with the youngsters who like to go trick and treating. I always make sure I've got some sweets tucked away, for the few who make the trek up my driveway.

This year I bought some skull lolly pops while in Australia. They were quite cute by themselves but I decided to add a little something to them. They were fun to make, will be fun to give and I'm sure they'll be fun to receive!

Stamp set: Ghostly Ghouls (retired)
Card: Tangerine Tango, Lovely Lilac (retired)
Ink: Black Staz On, Lovely Lilac (retired), Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Googly eyes (retired), 2 3/8 Scallop punch, 1 3/4" Circle punch

I hope you have a great weekend lined up. I'm hoping for dry weather so that I can tackle the leaves before I water blast the pavement around the house. Not much fun, but necessary to tidy up the place before summer. See you again soon!

Envelope Punch Board

Why go with boring, white, normal-sized envelopes when you can use colourful paper to create everything from itty bitty to long and skinny? Our creativity-boosting Envelope Punch Board makes it easy to customise envelopes in up to 66 different sizes!

  • It creates totally customisable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different colour and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
  • It’s super easy to use; It looks intimidating at first glance, but all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there you just turn and score.
  • It’s small and lightweight; It’s small and light enough that you could use it while watching a football match, at a park, at a friend’s for craft night—anywhere.
  • It even has a clever scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.
  • It’s easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don’t have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won’t lose them!).
  • The price is terrific--especially for a tool that does so much! $38.95
As a demonstrator, I was able to pre-order my Envelope Punch Board, so I've been playing with it for a few weeks. Believe me - it is really simple to use!  The measurements and instructions for the different sizes are on the board, so you don't have to remember anything and they can never be lost.

Merry Little Christmas

This was the adorable card we made last weekend at the big team (Creative Inkers) training. Initially I was meant to be away, but plans changed and I was able to attend, so I was pretty happy about that :-)

This card uses the elements from the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit. Have you seen the kit in the new Seasonal catalogue? You'll find it on page 27 and it's very reasonably priced at $19.95. The kit includes everything (except the stamps) you need to make 8 cards. Too easy!

Bordering on Romance

This is the card that I made Brett's mum (my future MIL) for her 80th birthday. Unfortunately, I'm unable to help celebrate, as am away this weekend for work. This is one of my favourite cards (yes, I've made it before and it's an identical case), and although there are a lot of elements and layers to it - I think it makes a striking combination. All the very best Iza for a wonderful birthday. I'm sure your lovely son will spoil you enough for the both of us!

Stamp set: Bordering on Romance (retired), Well Scripted (retired)
Card Stock: Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink: Black Staz On, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter
Tools: Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies, Framelits Dies Labels Collection, Finial Press Embossing Folder (retired), Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Designer Frames Embossing Folder, Timeless Type Alphabet Die (retired), Extra Large Oval Punch.

I'm away to Australia tomorrow with work - which I'm looking forward to. I feel as though I haven't been anywhere for ages. Of course, that isn't at all true and it's amazing how quickly we adapt to our environment. Did you know that I have been back in the Airforce for 17 months already! Who knew how much my life would have changed in that time?

Have a great day everyone!

Stampin' Up! Extreme Surfer

It was my nephew Stefan's 16th birthday yesterday. This is the card that I made him. Unfortunately, Stefan has never been surfing and it wasn't the stamp that I intended on using, but I couldn't find the one I wanted - Extreme Dirtbike. This one is Extreme Surfer and has retired. I think it's perfect for a teenage boy, regardless of whether they can surf or not. I hope you had a wonderful birthday Stefan celebrating with family and friends!

Stamp: Extreme Surfer (retire), Gorgeous Grunge
Card Stock: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Calypso Coral
Designer Paper: Howlstooth and Scaringbone (retired)
Accessories: Silver Mini Brad
Tools: Big Shot, Houndstooth Embossing Folder, Star Punch (retired)

Haven't we had horrible windy weather lately?! We've had sun as well, but the wind just doesn't seem to be letting up. I know that I shouldn't be complaining because those further south have been having storms and power cuts for the last few days. No sooner do they seem to clean up and get sorted out, that another storm strikes! I hope you've been keeping safe and warm where ever you are.

Check back tomorrow to see the card I made for my future Mother-In-Law's 80th birthday.

Calm Christmas

This was the card I demonstrated at our WOW PaperKRafters Team Stamp-a-Stack event yesterday. The day went really well and started off with a garage sale of our retired products. Always great to sell some old products to make room for the new goodies.

I cased this card from Diane Vander Galien but left off the little flags so it was even faster to make. It was a Stamp-a-Stack after all. I love this stamp set and the bird stamps beautifully every time.

Stamp: Calm Christmas (only $NZ31.95)
Card: Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink: Night of Navy, Gumball Green Stampin' Marker, Silver Metallic Encore Pad
Accessories: Silver 1/8" Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details
Tools: Big Shot, Pretty Print Textured Impressions EF

Thanks to everyone for making our event such a success! Always so good to have you come along and partake in our Stamp-a-Stack events.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Envelope Liners Framelits Discount!

We’re discounting the Envelope Liners Framelits Dies by 25%! Why?

There are three dies in every pack of Envelope Liners Framelits (132218). The liners were originally designed to coordinate with our envelopes. We've discovered that the largest die, though it fits the envelope, doesn't coordinate as it should—our envelopes have a rounded edge and the die has a square edge. Since it doesn't coordinate with our envelopes, we decided to provide a discount on the entire pack.

We are planning on correcting the largest die; until then the discount will remain valid. When the die is corrected, it will have a new item number and the price will change, all of which will be communicated to you, when the product is available.

For those who have already purchased the Envelope Liners Framelits Dies prior to today, we will send you new Envelope Liners Framelits once they are available instead of issuing a refund for the discount currently being applied.
Unfortunately, we will not exchange the old Framelits for the new Framelits once they are available.

More Mosaic Madness

This is another lovely swap I received a while ago from Sha Bell. I love black and white together - it makes for a clean and crisp look.

Stamp set: Mosaic Madness
Card: Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Dazzling Diamonds, Silver Rhinestones, Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon
Tools: Big Shot, Modern Label Punch, Itty Bitty Punch

As many of you will know, I am back home after my amazing trip to the USA. But what some of you may not know, is that I was proposed to by Brett on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. What a romantic man I have and such a wonderful surprise! As you can imagine, I've been on cloud nine.

Unfortunately, blogging has taken a back seat as I'm also back at work and it's as hectic as ever. I will endeavour to rectify that as soon as I can, so please bear with me.

Have a great week everyone!
