Delectable Sweet Treats..

I've got a Sweet Treats class on tomorrow night and the hardest part is to decide which cards we're going to make. We're spoilt for choice because there are lots of very cool ideas around and the possibilities are endless. We might make this one which I cased from Ann.  Isn't it fabulous!  Thanks so much Ann. Check out Ann's blog HERE.  Gosh, I better make a decision soon.

Rock a bye Baby...

This is a baby card that I made a while ago, using Fun and Fast Notes (again.... I hear you say).  It's another quick and easy card, which is definitely my style.  I stamped the pram on designer paper, cut it out and then attached it with dimensionals on top of the first image I'd stamped on whisper white cardstock.

Happy House Moving...

A friend and fellow demo from our team has moved house recently (okay, she actually moved almost two months ago, so I'm a tad late, but better late than never).  And, what a gorgeous house it is too!  This the card I made for her.. I've used All In The Family stamp set on the front which I really enjoy playing with.  There are so many different pieces that it would suit every kind of family combo...

I popped up the inside using the Stampin' Around Neighbourhood wheel.  Our window punch it makes pop-up cards so easy.  If you want to learn how to do this simple technique contact me HERE and we'll get together.

Bugs and Kisses Sweet Treats..

As mentioned earlier, we held our second WOW team event in the weekend, which was very successful.  The talented Janine taught this cute sweet treat card.  Don't you just love the colour coordination with all the worms!  So long as I can keep this card hidden from my daughters (they looove sour worms), it should remain intact...

Stamp set: Bugs and Kisses, See You Around Wheel
Ink: Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose, Yoyo Yellow
Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Green Galore
Markers: Pixie Pink, Summer Sun, Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise

Accessories: Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain ribbon, Sweet Treats cup, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Large and Small Tag punch, Scallop Edge punch, Blender pen.

Springy Thing..

We had a lovely group of ladies join us yesterday for our second WOW PaperKRafters event in West Harbour. It was a very humid and sticky day but everyone lasted the distance and completed the four projects. I taught the Springy Thing (couldn't come up with a better name for it) and although it looked a bit daunting, everyone finished it within the time frame and did an awesome job. Well done ladies!! I can't remember how I came across the instructions to make it so unfortunately I can't give credit to the designer. I've made quite a few over the years embellishing it for different occasions. Here's a photo of what we made yesterday when it is closed.

And, here's what it looks like when you pull the opposite corners and open it up. It could be used for invitations or an occasion of your choice by changing the embellishments. The bone folder got a work out when making the nice crisp folds.... If you would like the instructions on how to make this, feel free to email ME

Another weekend is nearly over with.  Have a great week everyone.

Stamp set: Butterfly Prints, Priceless, Flight of the Butterfly
Ink: Mellow Moss
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Mellow Moss
Other: Clear rhinestone brads, dazzling diamonds glitter, dimensionals, butterfly punch, scallop square punch

A Little Sneak Preview..

Here's a little sneak peek at the project I'm presenting on Saturday at our WOW PaperKRafters Event..
I'm not very clever with the photo editing and the colour doesn't show up very well - (that's what happens when you've got a cheap, point and click camera and the photo's are taken at night).  I don't want to give too much away but it's a type of fancy fold...  If you want to come along and make one yourself there are still a few spaces left.  This can be used for many different occasions and would be just one of the four awesome projects you'll be making.

If you want more details - contact me
HERE.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Have a great night everyone!

Lovely Lavender

I received this gorgeous belated birthday card from Sally.  Purple is one of my favourite colours and I love how she's used the eyelet border punch at the bottom of the image (from Echoes of Kindness, which is a level 2 hostess set).  Very elegant.  Thanks so much Sally!

Aquarians galore!!

I've got another big spate of birthdays coming up!  Have had a few this past week and have more to come in the next few weeks.  They are mostly friends but it was my sister's special day on the 25th Jan (hi Tania). Here's one of the cards I made using the Happy Moments stamp set from SAB with all the flowers drenched in dazzling diamonds glitter..  This set is certainly getting a work out!

Once again, I've used the kaleidescope designer series paper with pink passion and tempting turquoise cardstock and the coordinating 1/4" turquoise grosgrain ribbon. Bright and vibrant colours.

Happy Birthday to me...

It was my birthday yesterday and I had a really lovely day!!  Thanks to my family and friends I was very spoilt and I also received lots of lovely messages from people all over New Zealand and the world (what would we do without facebook or the internet??  Oooh, doesn't bear thinking about, does it!).

I received an adorable card from my fabulous upline Karen and just had to share it with you. She's used the 'On Your Birthday' greetings set, which I haven't got, but the more I see it ~ the more I want it.  I love the way she's inked the words in different colours. Karen also bought me a lotto ticket so we're sharing the winnings of that... It wasn't the big one, but $78 is nothing to be scoffed at ~ and it'll go towards some more goodies..

Getting the cold shoulder!!

This isn't stamping related but I just had to share this with you...

The male member of our family (Oscar, our Shitzu/Pekinese ball of fluff) has had the sulks with me big time!!  I had him neutered last week and boy, have I been in the bad books!!  He really made me suffer and is only now (5 days later) back to his normal happy self.  He's absolutely adorable and I'd held off having him desexed because I thought I'd be inundated with demands to breed from him.  Well, that didn't happen ~ and he was starting to get a tad stroppy with my younger daughter (she's 13 and has been known to get in his face sometimes..) and I was told that this would help curb his attitude.  So, anyway I wasn't rapt with the idea, but the nurse reassured me that I was doing the right thing because it also minimises the risk of prostate cancer.  I was already upset and then afterwards he made me feel like a the biggest meanest mother in the whole world...

Thank goodness he's finally snapped out of it and my happy little chappy is back in full swing with his tail wagging and getting under my feet once again.  I wouldn't have it any other way!!  Here's a little side profile photo of him on Christmas day...

Have a happy day everyone!
